I created Build By AI as an experiment. I wanted to see how far you could push AI to build something real. Not a demo, not a toy, but an actual product that runs every single day without me touching it.
But honestly, it also started because I was tired of falling behind on AI news. The space moves so fast that by the time you read one article, ten more have dropped. I wanted something that would just give me the highlights every morning. And if it didn't exist, I'd build it myself.
So I built the entire thing with AI: the pipeline scans 16+ news sources every morning, uses Claude to analyze and write a conversational script, generates the audio with ElevenLabs, fact-checks itself, and publishes to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. All automatically at 5:30 AM London time.
The whole system runs on GitHub Actions. No human touches it. It's my proof that you can build real, automated media products with AI today. Not someday, today.
The Podcast
Build By AI is a daily podcast that covers the most important developments in artificial intelligence. Every morning, the AI-powered pipeline scans 16+ news sources, selects the top stories, and generates a 30-minute conversational episode between two AI hosts.
The entire production pipeline is fully automated: news gathering, script writing, fact-checking, audio generation, and publishing. New episodes drop daily.
Meet the Hosts
Alex Sutton. The driver. Sets up each story clearly, provides key facts and context, and asks the probing "so what does this mean?" questions. Grounded, clear, and approachable.
Sam Russell. The analyst. Provides perspective, connects stories to bigger trends, and brings the "here's why you should care" angle. More opinionated and energetic, loves making unexpected connections.
